I offer a complimentary 20 minute phone consultation to prospective new clients. During this phone call, we will explore what you would like to work on and what you would like to get out of therapy. This will help me determine if I will be a good fit for your specific needs. It is also a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about myself, my practice and therapy in general. If we both feel it will be a good it, we can schedule a full session.

Hilary is considered an out-of-network provider for most insurance. Sessions may be covered in part by PPO health insurance plans. Monthly super bills may be provided to clients to submit to their insurance companies for out-of-network insurance benefits. I have also partnered with Mentaya, a service that submits out-of-network claims for you. This service is available to you at no extra fee. Please contact your insurance company to verify out-of-network benefits prior to your first session or utilize the insurance estimator on Mentaya's website. If you do wish to use out-of-network insurance benefits, I will be required to provide a diagnosis, which will be attached to your medical file. People who do not want this information to be provided to their insurance company may opt for private pay.
In order to avoid being charged the full fee for missed appointments, please provide a 24-hour notice of cancellation.
You have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don't have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical expenses, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.
You can ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or photo of your Good Faith Estimate.
