Motherhood Support

They say it takes a village to raise a child. If you're a mom, you might be asking yourself, "So, where is this village everyone keeps telling me about?" "Does it just appear when the baby is born?"

While in my experience, the village did not just appear, I did learn you can build it. As a mom to three, I fully understand the ups and downs of motherhood. It can be stressful, exhausting and absolutely overwhelming.

That is why it is so important to have support as a mom. I provide a safe place to share and process your feelings, I help you identify the challenges and areas you would like to work on and together we'll develop a plan to get you there!

  • Find balance
  • Feel like yourself again
  • Cope with the ups and downs of motherhood
  • Process and heal from past wounds resurfacing in motherhood
  • Develop a schedule that works for you and your family
  • Increase your social support
  • Learn how to ask for help and delegate
  • Navigate career and motherhood
  • Rediscover hobbies
  • Build self-confidence
  • Work through body-image issues

Perinatal Mood Disorders

Did you know 1 in 5 mothers will experience Postpartum Depression? It is the most common complication of childbirth.

Perinatal Mood Disorders, like Postpartum Depression and Postpartum Anxiety, are debilitating. You want to be enjoying this time with your new baby but instead you are feeling withdrawn, overwhelmingly anxious or terrified by disturbing thoughts. This is such an important time to seek therapy. The bad news is these issues do not just resolve on their own. But the good news is that treatment, such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), is very effective at getting you relief and feeling back to yourself again!

Infertility

You and your partner have decided to start a family. It should be an exciting and joyful time, right? Instead, for many couples, the journey to parenthood is an unexpected and devastating struggle. 1 in 8 couples experience infertility challenges. If you are struggling with infertility, you may be feeling sad, confused and isolated. You may be feeling disconnected from your body and or even feeling betrayed by it. It can be so defeating and exhausting going through the monthly cycle of feeling hopeful you conceived just to have your period return yet again. Not to mention, the pain and isolation of seeing baby bumps and pregnancy announcements everywhere you turn.

This is the time to get support. You do not have to go through this season of life alone. Therapy is a safe and supportive place to explore and process any and all of the feelings you are experiencing. Nothing is off limits. I help women process grief, build coping skills for this specific time of life, navigate difficult situations, build their support networks and find rediscover joy despite the pain.

Pregnancy Loss

It doesn't matter how far along you were, losing a baby is devastating at any stage of pregnancy. Although pregnancy loss is not uncommon, it can feel extremely lonely and isolating. I help moms process through their grief and provide the much needed support this time requires. You do not have to go through this alone.

Parenting Support

Parenting kids is tough. I don't know about you but my kids sure didn't come with a manual. We all want to raise kind, emotionally intelligent, capable humans. The path to get there is not always clear. There is so much conflicting parenting advice out there and it can be exhausting trying to sift through it. I help parents utilize tools and strategies backed from real research to allow their children to thrive! Feel confident and capable in your skills and start to enjoy parenting again.
